Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 15, 2026

Lumora Studios (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a photography, videography, photo booth, and marketing-content studio based in London, Ontario, serving the GTA and surrounding areas. We respect your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information responsibly under Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

This policy explains what we collect when you visit lumorastudios.ca or book a service with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information:

  • Information you give us through the booking form: your name, email address, phone number, the service you’re interested in, preferred event date and time, and any message you choose to send. You provide this voluntarily when you submit the form on our site.
  • Information collected automatically when you browse: pages you visit, how you arrived at the site, your approximate location (city / region), device type, browser, screen size, and aggregated behaviour like time on page and scroll depth. This data is gathered through analytics tools described below and is used in aggregate, not to identify you personally.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to booking inquiries, quote requests, and questions you send us.
  • Schedule, deliver, and follow up on the services you book.
  • Understand how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it.
  • Protect the site against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with our legal and tax obligations in Canada.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling beyond the basic site-traffic analytics described below.

3. Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site running and to understand how visitors use it:

  • Google Analytics 4. Sets cookies (such as _ga) to measure pageviews, sessions, and aggregate traffic patterns. IP addresses are truncated by Google before being stored, and the data is used in aggregate.
  • Vercel Analytics. A privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool from our hosting provider. It records anonymous visit data (page, country, device) without setting tracking cookies or building user profiles.

You can block analytics cookies through your browser settings or by installing the official Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site will continue to work normally.

4. Third-party service providers

We use a small set of trusted third-party providers to run our business. Each of them receives only the information they need to perform their service:

  • Vercel — hosts the website and processes basic request logs (IP, timestamp, URL) and cookieless analytics.
  • Google (Google Analytics) — provides aggregated traffic analytics.
  • Google (Gmail) — receives booking-form submissions at our business inbox.
  • Instagram — when you click our Instagram link, Meta’s own privacy practices apply to what happens after you leave our site.

These providers may store data outside of Canada (typically in the United States) under their own privacy commitments and applicable contractual safeguards.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep booking-form messages in our business inbox for as long as we need them to service the inquiry, complete the project, and meet Canadian tax-record retention requirements (generally 6 years). Aggregated analytics data is retained according to the default settings of each tool (14 months for Google Analytics 4).

You can ask us to delete an email you sent us at any time — see “Your rights” below.

6. Your rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Withdraw your consent to our use of your information, subject to legal or contractual limits.
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need.
  • Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe we haven’t handled your information appropriately.

To make any of these requests, email lumora.studios.reach@gmail.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Security

We rely on industry-standard protections — including HTTPS encryption across the entire site, encrypted email transit, and reputable infrastructure providers — to keep your information safe. No method of online transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to minimize risk and respond quickly if something goes wrong.

8. Children's privacy

Our services are aimed at adults arranging events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please email us and we’ll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our services evolve. When we do, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated more clearly — for example, by a notice on the site.
